What inspired GoodMood Kombucha?

GoodMood Kombucha started with a simple idea: kombucha doesn’t have to taste intense to be real. Our founder came from a chef background and approached kombucha like a recipe — balancing acidity, fruit, herbs, and aroma so it’s refreshing, not punishing.

GoodMood Kombucha is brewed and canned in the U.S. Specifically, we brew and can in Brooklyn, New York.

Are GoodMood Kombucha products non-GMO?

We focus on high-quality ingredients and sourcing. If a specific certification (like Non-GMO Project Verified) is important to you, check the product page or can label — and feel free to reach out. We’ll always be transparent about what’s in the can.

Do GoodMood Kombucha products contain gluten, nuts, dairy or sugar?

  • Gluten: We do not add gluten-containing ingredients.
  • Nuts & Dairy: We do not add nuts or dairy ingredients.
  • Sugar: Yes — kombucha fermentation uses sugar, and some flavors include a small amount of added sugar (check the Nutrition Facts on each product page).

How is safety, purity and quality ensured?

Every batch is brewed with tight quality controls — from fermentation to packaging — to ensure consistency, food safety, and a great drinking experience. We keep it cold, handle it carefully, and stand behind what we ship.

Shipping

Where do you ship?

Currently, we only ship to the contiguous United States.  If you're outside of that region and really want GoodMood Kombucha, reach out to us at info@goodmoodkombucha.com, and we'll see what we can do.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is a $10 flat rate in most cases, and any free shipping offers will automatically apply when your cart qualifies. Free shipping kicks in when your order is $100+. If you’re a subscriber, you may also qualify depending on your plan. You’ll always see the final shipping cost before you pay.

How long does shipping take?

Most orders arrive in about 3–5 business days after fulfillment. Once your order ships, you’ll get tracking right away.

When do I get free shipping?

Free shipping applies when your cart hits the current threshold and/or when a subscription offer includes it. You’ll see it automatically reflected at checkout.

Will I receive tracking?

Yes — you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking as soon as your order leaves our facility.

How do you ship GoodMood Kombucha? Will it arrive cold?

We typically ship GoodMood Kombucha at ambient temperature and, when needed, insulated and packed with cold materials to help it stay chilled in transit. It may arrive cold, cool, or slightly above fridge temp depending on weather and carrier timing — that’s normal. As soon as it arrives, refrigerate it. Kombucha is a living product and belongs in the fridge.

My box arrived early — is it ok?

Yes. Refrigerate it as soon as possible and you’re good. If anything looks off (damaged cans, leaking, etc.), reach out and we’ll make it right.

Returns, refunds, and issues

Do you accept returns?

Because kombucha is perishable, we don’t accept returns on shipped beverages. But if something arrives damaged or incorrect, we’ll take care of you.

My order arrived damaged or incorrect — what should I do?

Email us as soon as you can with:

  • Your order number
  • A photo of the issue (damaged box/cans, incorrect items, etc.)

We’ll review and resolve quickly — replacement, refund, or whichever is most fair.

Orders

How can I track my order?

Use the tracking link in your shipping confirmation email. If you can’t find it, check your spam/promotions folder — or contact us and we’ll resend it.

How can I cancel or change my order?

If your order hasn’t shipped yet, we’ll do our best to help. Email us ASAP with your order number. Once it’s shipped, we can’t guarantee changes — but we’ll always try to find the best solution.

How does subscribe and save work?

Subscribe & Save lets you get GoodMood Kombucha delivered on your schedule — with an automatic reorder and subscriber perks (like savings and/or shipping benefits when available). Subscriptions are powered by Recharge, so managing your plan is easy.

How can I adjust my subscription?

You can update your subscription anytime — swap flavors, change frequency, pause, or update your address/payment — through your Recharge customer portal (linked in your subscription emails).

How can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel anytime in your Recharge portal. If you run into any issues, contact us and we’ll help right away.

Product & Storage

Should I keep GoodMood Kombucha refrigerated?

Yes — always refrigerate. Kombucha is a living product.

Is GoodMood Kombucha raw / unpasteurized?

Yes. GoodMood Kombucha is raw and unpasteurized, which means we don’t heat-treat it after fermentation.

Kombucha is made by fermenting tea with a live culture. Pasteurization would stop that process — but it can also change the character of the drink. By keeping GoodMood Kombucha raw, we preserve the natural fermentation profile and the bright, layered flavor that makes each can taste alive and refreshing.

Because it’s raw, GoodMood Kombucha should always be kept refrigerated. It’s a living product — and we like it that way.

Does GoodMood Kombucha contain alcohol?

Kombucha is naturally fermented, which means it contains trace amounts of alcohol as a natural byproduct of the fermentation process.

GoodMood Kombucha remains within federally compliant limits for non-alcoholic beverages (below 0.5% ABV), but if you are sensitive to alcohol or avoiding it entirely for personal, medical, or religious reasons, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider before consuming.

Does GoodMood Kombucha have caffeine?

Kombucha is brewed from tea, so it may contain a small amount of naturally occurring caffeine. Sensitivity varies — if you’re caffeine-sensitive, start with a small amount.
